Not an Isolated Example

In reference to an earlier post, The Left is Certifiably Insane, I give you Exhibit B: MSNBC Guest Wants to Have Sex With the SCOTUS Leaker and ‘Joyfully Abort Our Fetus’. Excerpt (not that you need one.)

“Here’s the thing. I mean, here’s my feeling about the leaker. I would like to find out who the leaker is so I could make sweet love to that person, because that person is a hero to me. Okay? And if the leaker, a lot of people are saying it could be a conservative, if the leaker is a Republican and if I get pregnant during our lovemaking, I will joyfully abort our fetus and let them know. I don’t know that answered your question. It probably didn’t.”

“Comedian” Laurie Kilmartin

That which cannot go on forever, won’t.

The System

Regardless of how you feel about Rap music (my opinion used to be that the “C” was silent,) if you read this blog, you should give this a listen:

Not Only “No,” but “F*^K NO!”

Commenter “Old Guy” left this on the previous post:

The thing I worry about re: court packing is the GOP squishes. I hope I am wrong but I just see them falling into line and voting to pack the court. Someone said we should add 50 justices, one for every state and who are appointed by the governor of that state. Personally maybe we should treat it like senate seats, two for every state and they run for election on a rotating basis every, say 5 years or so.

I responded:

NO. DOT. STOP.

Supreme Court Justices should not “run for office.” That ENSURES that they will be swayed by popular opinion. You might as well shred and burn the Constitution right now.

Senator Ben Sasse explained it in detail in his 15 minutes during the Kavanaugh confirmation hearing. It’s worth your time.

Reaping the Whirlwind

We know already that President Biden and the Democrats are willing to pack the court if they conclude they have lost control over it. They admitted as much during the 2020 election. “Packing the court” is just a euphemism for destroying it, as it would then become just another political branch of the federal government. This should not surprise us. Whenever the left feels they have lost control of an institution, they try to destroy it.

The Constitutional Crisis That Roe v. Wade Set In Motion Is Now Upon UsJohn Daniel Davidson, The Federalist, May 4, 2022

As Iowahawk put it,

Davidson opened the piece with:

Roe sowed the seeds of a crisis that will end with America ceasing to be divided: we will become all one thing or all the other.

I don’t think so. But it may finally bring the inevitable internal conflict to a head, as ugly as that will get. Then we’ll see what the rest of the world does when the United States isn’t there to pick up the pieces anymore. Personally, I don’t think we’re quite at the edge yet. This will be another “Great Leap Forward” towards that end, but I’m holding out for at least the 2020 mid-terms, more likely the 2024 Presidential election. What I expect will happen in the mean time is some more sporadic violence from the Left.

Making Omelets

Sunday was May 1st, “May Day,” a traditional European holiday suborned by Communists as “International Workers Day.” It is, for want of a better term, “International Communism Day.”

So, let’s celebrate!

“Congress Shall Make No Law….”

The First Amendment to the Constitution begins with what George F. Will once called “the most beautiful five words in the English language”: “Congress shall make no law.”

No law respecting an establishment of religion.

No law prohibiting the free exercise of religion.

No law abridging the freedom of speech, or the press.

No law abridging the right of the people to assemble peaceably to petition for redress of grievances.

NO LAW.

But the government has found a way around that. They don’t need a law. They just need a new executive branch bureau with the power to make and enforce regulations that Congress never sees. The Biden administration has decided that George Orwell’s 1984 isn’t a cautionary tale, but an instruction manual and has created its own Ministry of Truth, or as Orwell abbreviated it, “Minitrue” – the “Disinformation Governance Board,” – and headed it with a woman well-schooled in disinformation, because she has extensive practice at it.

Do you understand why the Left so desperately needs a majority on the Supreme Court?

The 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence comes in 2026. I wonder if we’ll make it there intact?
