Well, what do you think that woman in the “chaser” video really thinks of us?
Cult is part of it, but I still believe that the root cause of the entire “movement” is a mental illness issue. For whatever reason, these folks do, say, and believe things that do not actually exist. They are incapable of experiencing reality the way we do, by that I mean that they see the same data sets that we all see, yet apply meaning and definition to those data in completely false ways. I think of it as a mind virus, and we cannot fix it if half of us will not acknowledge it’s existence.
Yep, now we know where we ‘stand’… And they are going to find out what we ‘stand’ for! But I don’t think they will like it.
In any cult, apostates are considered worse than infidels. Seeing that your beliefs are based on lies is worse than never having believed in the first place. Worse yet are asking hard questions out loud — where other “members can hear — or leaving.
The fact that it had always been built on falsity and half-truth doesn’t factor in.
